Christian Louboutin Fall Collection 2010

The Bibi is out for pre-order at SAKS! They have almost every color that was mentioned in the lookbook besides the light blue and gray [which are the ones that I would've wanted].  The colors listed on Saks are: Black (as shown above), Brown and Tan.

I thought maybe NM would have them, but after looking through their new Fall CL collection there was nothing that really caught by eye……except the nude Rolandos, but I’m still sticking it out for my Bianca’s.

Saks has an interesting Fall collection.  I like the fact that I can use saks and NM interchangeably and they always have different styles available.  In the Saks collection, the Dahlia Pointy Toe Ankle Boots are sooooooooooo cute!  I keep looking around for more booties [I already have a black/gray suede bootie by Prada] and I’m really looking for nice looking leather ones.  Suede you can only wear when the weather isn’t bad…..

Lots to think about for Fall – I cant wait! :)

Laid off….again?!

Yes, I was laid off again.  How stupid really…

After I was laid off in February, it seemed like a long time before a really good opportunity came by.  I did a lot of interviews and all ended up being great, but took forever to get back to me.  Seems like everyone likes to procrastinate, not just me.  I finally went into an interview with this 1 specific company and she said that I seemed like a perfect fit, but I’d need to come back later to meet her boss and then they could make a decision….

I did the 2nd interview and passed with flying colors, I even mentioned Prague and they said it’s completely fine!  She called me the next day to offer me the job.  I was so excited and so was everyone else.  I started working promptly 2 weeks later and luckily this place was in Herndon, so it’s closer to me than Reston [which is where I used to work]. Update

So I need to provide another update.

Every few days I get this idea to update my blog, but I find that I either, do not have a picture to go with it or I just don’t have time to post.  I really need to get better at this.

Since my Prague trip:

  • I was laid-off again [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]. Trust me, I hate that company now.  They did it when I was sick after my trip back.  Luckily they gave me 2 weeks severance even though I had only been working there for a month.  I deserved it.
  • My sister turned 16!!!!  I remember her being a baby like it was just yesterday….
  • I found a job [that paid even more than the place that just laid me off, which is...$10k more than what I was making in February!!] before I needed to claim unemployment!  [A HUGE Thank You to my references!]
  • I usually reward myself when I get a new job, but instead I used that non-existent money to have Truffles’ teeth deep-cleaned.  His breath was god-awful before, but now there’s no smell at all!  I plan on doing a blog post about the transformation.
  • My parents MOVED.  Yes, MOVED.  They’ve been living at the condo  for what, 15+ years now?  They finally jumped on a great deal on a townhouse in Chantilly.  They’ve updated a few things, such as the kitchen [I love their granite], changed the carpet, changed a few fixtures and added recessed lighting.
  • I finally went to the Jersey shore [specifically, Wildwood] and had the famous, Mack’s pizza.  I rode the rides and got sunburned….
  • I watched Lady GaGa in concert in Atlantic City, NJ!  She was awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
  • I may have found beloved Christian Louboutin Bianca in Nude!!!!  More details on that later…

I think that’s about it in terms of excitement.  I’ll try to get posts up on some of the more eventful things in the list later. :]

Home theater riser

So Jon built us a riser for our home theater.

My basement is such a man-cave really there’s no womanly touches anywhere besides maybe my quilts that I sometimes use…

Anyways, this past Monday we got our riser carpeted in a darker shade to match our walls which are dark gray.  Unfortunately, the maker that made my gray carpet in my basement doesn’t make that shade anymore so I had to choose something different to tie it all in.

Sandra Bullock at MTV Movie Awards 2010

Sandra Bullock was looking fantastic last night wearing an Oday Shakar dress but what I couldn’t stop looking at were her shoes!!

I’ve recently caught the Christian Louboutin bug and I’m dying for a pair of nude shoes.  From the look of it – it’s suede for sure and it looked nude on TV, but in fact it has more of a gray-ish tone to it.  They look like Bianca’s from the front, but the heel in the back is thicker in width.

After copious amounts of searching and asking on tPF, I’ve found the answer!!!  She was wearing Christian Louboutin Bibi’s.  They are to die for and I love the color/height combination.  According to the lookbook, the Bibi comes in 4 different colors; the one Sandra is wearing [gray-ish], a black color, a light blue-ish color and a brown/burnt color.

I’m definitely putting the Bibi on my wishlist, but first…..my Nude Bianca’s.  I those the most.

LOST – The End

I’m so sad to see it go.  What will I do to fill my time from 9-10pm on Tuesday nights?  :(

The finale last night was great.  I had Miss Christine and her lovely boyfriend, Leo over for dinner.  Jon cooked a delicious grilled chicken with lemon/basil sauce and topped it off with goat cheese.  Along with the chicken we had 2 sides, stir-fry spinach w/ minced garlic and rice wine and potatoes with rosemary.  Jared, the roomie, made baked scallops which was tasty.  Everything was delish.  Prior to dinner I made a fruit salad with papaya, pineapple, gala apples, mango, grapes, pears and kiwi.  We tried to keep it island-themed for the show.  We had the recap on while we ate dinner.  After cleaning up and with 15 minutes to spare, Jon started up the popcorn and we all settled into our seats downstairs in the home theater.  The 2 and ½ hours were intense at times but everyone enjoyed the ending.

I will miss you, LOST.
