Update

So I need to provide another update.

Every few days I get this idea to update my blog, but I find that I either, do not have a picture to go with it or I just don’t have time to post.  I really need to get better at this.

Since my Prague trip:

  • I was laid-off again [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]. Trust me, I hate that company now.  They did it when I was sick after my trip back.  Luckily they gave me 2 weeks severance even though I had only been working there for a month.  I deserved it.
  • My sister turned 16!!!!  I remember her being a baby like it was just yesterday….
  • I found a job [that paid even more than the place that just laid me off, which is...$10k more than what I was making in February!!] before I needed to claim unemployment!  [A HUGE Thank You to my references!]
  • I usually reward myself when I get a new job, but instead I used that non-existent money to have Truffles’ teeth deep-cleaned.  His breath was god-awful before, but now there’s no smell at all!  I plan on doing a blog post about the transformation.
  • My parents MOVED.  Yes, MOVED.  They’ve been living at the condo  for what, 15+ years now?  They finally jumped on a great deal on a townhouse in Chantilly.  They’ve updated a few things, such as the kitchen [I love their granite], changed the carpet, changed a few fixtures and added recessed lighting.
  • I finally went to the Jersey shore [specifically, Wildwood] and had the famous, Mack’s pizza.  I rode the rides and got sunburned….
  • I watched Lady GaGa in concert in Atlantic City, NJ!  She was awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
  • I may have found beloved Christian Louboutin Bianca in Nude!!!!  More details on that later…

I think that’s about it in terms of excitement.  I’ll try to get posts up on some of the more eventful things in the list later. :]

Valentine’s Day and then some

V-Day Flowers

The picture was taken by Jon recently. Those flowers are about 2 weeks old (slightly wilting).

Those are the flowers I got for Valentine’s Day this year. V-Day was on Thursday so Jon and I had limit the “us” time to make room for Lost that night.

We had dinner at 6pm at 14k – one of our many favorite restaurants. We wanted to go to the Melting Pot, but they were booked. :(

We then opened up our cards in the car on the way home to watch Lost. We exchanged gifts the night before (yes, I know….we’re always so anxious and excited).

Jon got the rest of the Dark Tower collection (Books 1-6) and cologne and Burberry Polo shirt.  I got an L.L. Bean winter jacket and will be getting J’adore perfume.

As for the ‘some’ of the post, we’re looking into buying a house again. We’ve found one that we really like. We’re going to go look at it this Saturday with our favorite realtor, Connie Vanderpool. She’s so great and we love her to death! Hopefully this will be the one!

I’ve also been applying to some jobs lately. Now that we’re looking for a house, I was thinking that maybe….just maybe….I should really start working! :P

One last note…..my spring semester class is almost over! This saturday is the last saturday. FINALLY!!!!

Happy New Year!

Double Bastard

Okay, so I’m like 18 days late – I know.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great New Years. I sure as hell did. I got to do the whole midnight kiss again with my one and only (our 2nd time). It’s been a great year so far and I know I’ll have many more (especially with Jon).

I will hold off on the engagement ring post until after I catch up with all my others ones. I was just thinking about it yesterday….

I need to post about (not in this particular order):

+New Year’s (now)
+My Birthday
+My Truffles
+My engagement ring
+AND A SPECIAL SURPRISE which I cannot leak at the moment, but will post about it soon.

Christmas and then some…

Chanel Cambon

*This is a previous post from my old blog – edited time stamp to reflect original date.

So Christmas was last week and it was so exciting!

I came into work with all sorts of new stuff this week! As you can tell from the picture of my blog – it was the best Christmas by far!

I got my most wanted gift (after I told Jon repeatedly that I didn’t want him to buy it). It’s the Chanel Ligne Cambon Large Tote – Black w/ white C’s. It looks so good and it fits me perfectly (duh, pink silk cc lining – who can resist?).

Anniversary & Chanel

 Chanel Box

*This is a previous post from my old blog – edited time stamp to reflect original date.

So, my anniversary came and went. It was great.

I sill cannot believe Jon and I have been dating for over a year now. It’s still a shock to me.

We exchanged gifts the night before (at midnight – to make it fair) and had dinner the night of at Indigo Landing in Alexandria.

Jon’s Birthday

So just last week, it was Jon’s birthday. He turned the big 2-6. Amazing that Jon and I are well on our way to our 1 year anniversary. I bought him a couple things and so did E&E and my sister and my parents.

First off, my parents bought him that wonderful White Chocolate Mousse Cake from Watergate Pastry Shop in DC. Buying a birthday cake from there is a tradition in my family since….before I was born. Since Jon’s practically part of my family, he gets to go along with tradition too.

My sister, who’s only 12, used her allowance money to buy him a glass chess set. I thought that was thoughtful and all. Out of all the boyfriends she’s met (not a lot), she likes Jon the most. :) I’m happy she likes him. E&E (Elaine and Eric – Godparents aka Aunt and Uncle) bought him a bunch of stuff. He got tools from Eric to add to his toolbox (which Eric gave him also). Elaine got him this neat game called Blokus (looks like tetris pieces in a puzzle) and a gift card to Banana Republic.
