LOST – The End

I’m so sad to see it go.  What will I do to fill my time from 9-10pm on Tuesday nights?  :(

The finale last night was great.  I had Miss Christine and her lovely boyfriend, Leo over for dinner.  Jon cooked a delicious grilled chicken with lemon/basil sauce and topped it off with goat cheese.  Along with the chicken we had 2 sides, stir-fry spinach w/ minced garlic and rice wine and potatoes with rosemary.  Jared, the roomie, made baked scallops which was tasty.  Everything was delish.  Prior to dinner I made a fruit salad with papaya, pineapple, gala apples, mango, grapes, pears and kiwi.  We tried to keep it island-themed for the show.  We had the recap on while we ate dinner.  After cleaning up and with 15 minutes to spare, Jon started up the popcorn and we all settled into our seats downstairs in the home theater.  The 2 and ½ hours were intense at times but everyone enjoyed the ending.

I will miss you, LOST.

Upcoming Trip to Prague

Is still a go!

Thank goodness the whole ash thing is sorta on the clear and I can still fly to Prague. I have a layover in London and I’m flying BA. I’m so excited. YAY!!!! *insert dancing smiley here*

<rant>

I’m slightly peeved that BA charges passengers to PAY to reserve a seat.  I don’t want to pay to reserve my seats!  I just want to sit next to my husband!  You can only reserve your seat 24 hours prior to departure.  It’s lame really.

This is my first time to Europe and I’m so lucky that it’ll be one of the prettiest places.  Everyone that’s been says it’s so beautiful there.  Jon is gonna go bonkers with his camera and shoot everything in sight!

Lady GaGa + Hermes

Speaking of Hermes!

The awesome Lady Gaga arrived at Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan with Japanese [technically, katakana] written in black marker on her underside of her arm and on her beautiful white Hermes birkin.  Her arm reads “I love little monsters,” and her purse reads “I love little monster, Tokyo love.”

I love Lady Gaga!  I’m going to two of her shows [July 4th and September 14th].  I’m so excited.  I wish I were in Japan to go see her too…

Sad Day for James Kim

*This is a previous post from my old blog – edited time stamp to reflect original date.

I don’t know if anyone was following the story of James Kim and his family on the news. They were missing for over a week. Just yesterday, his family (wife & 2 kids) were found stranded – luckily, they’re ok. Unfortunately, James Kim had left his family to seek help days ago and never returned.

Earlier today, he was found ‘lying face down.’ That’s never a good sign. He never made it. :(

It’s a sad day overall. Jon and I have been tracking this search from a couple days ago. I cant help but start tearing up when I read through the whole ordeal that they went through.

James Kim will be missed. He was senior editor at cnet.com and a heroic father and husband.
