Mom and Aunt at the Turtle Point Gazebo

The picture was taken by my dad yesterday at the same place where I got married two years ago today, Turtle Point [Fairmont Orchid Hotel on the Big Island in Hawai'i].  They’ve built a gazebo since Jon and I got married.

My parents are vacationing in Hawai’i with my aunt and uncle at their house on the Big Island while Jon and I are in VA taking care of my 15 year old sister.  I’m glad my parents got to go back to the place they love; they rarely ever go on vacations, let alone, by themselves!

It’s amazing how two years have gone by so quickly.

Jon and I just got back from Colorado Springs [work related for me] and as we were driving from the hotel, The Broadmoor, to the Denver airport [coworkers noted that it'd be better to just drive to Colorado Springs than fly...] we were reminiscing on everything we’ve done in the past 4 years [of being together] and even the past 2 years [of being married] such as traveling domestically and internationally [Japan + Eastern Caribbean] and not to mention buying 2 homes!

No marriage [or relationship] is perfect, there will always be ups and downs, but as long as you’re honest and communicate your feelings – everything will work out in the end.

Our plans for today?  Work, exchange cards, have a nice dinner, eat a slice of strawberry + creme cake.  The cake is a tradition for us; last year we got a bigger cake to share with family.  Today, I’m getting my cake from Whole Foods in Reston.  A friend of mine says it’s super tasty!  I can hardly wait!

Maybe in a few years, I’ll have a post titled “5 Years and a BABY!” [Ha...Ha...Ha]

So I know I haven’t blogged in awhile. My site was ‘under construction’ and was slightly changed. Jon wiped my old database and updated my blogware with the new version. My old posts were wiped, however I’ve saved them all; unfortunately, without all my pictures that accompanied them. *sigh* I’m working on getting pictures up for all my previous posts – bare with me!

Makes me ecstatic!

Jon and I went engagement ring shopping probably a month ago at Tiffany & Co. Of course I had to go there, knowing that I would love everything there.

Jon and I have go to Tiffany’s quite frequently (whether it’s to get gifts for others or to buy our own things) and I’ve always stopped to just take a sneak peek at their engagement ring section.

In the beginning I was terribly freaked out and didn’t really want to go near them or touch them for that matter. The first time it was to ask for ball park prices (which were fairly decent).

The second time was to look at some sizes (still kept the visit to under 10 minutes and refused to hold them).
