As you tell by the picture….I purchased 3 pairs of shoes. Jon was like…..uhhh wtf when he got home (even though he knew about them! teehee….^_^)

My nude shoes are my LOVE ♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~!!!!!!

It took calling 3 different boutiques (Costa Mesa, Beverly Hills and Miami) finally being in #1 place on the wait list for size 38 Christian Louboutin Patent Leather Nude 140 Biancas! These are 5 1/2 inches of pure love. Technically, you’re only walking on 120mm because the front platform is 20mm (check out a close up picture after the jump!).The other two purchases are of Hunter boots. I got these for a STEAL. They’re originally $125-ish and I got both of them for $120 INCLUDING TAX! Restoration Hardware was having a deal on the boots and I price matched them at Nordies. I got high gloss black and gray. Miss Christine got a black pair too because of the great deal. We’re so ready for terrible weather!

Hopefully I’ll be wearing my nude bianca’s into the fall and maybe for a x-mas present I can get another pair of black shoes (closed toe).

Happy early Labor Day!!! Thank goodness for a 3-day weekend! I need it after these past two weeks. Phew.

Jared, Jon and I headed out on a Friday (before July 4th) to Wildwood (one of the many Jersey Shores) to stay with Jared’s grandmother for the weekend. She lives 3 blocks away from the boardwalk and it beats staying at a motel (are there even hotels in the area?). When we got there we discovered that Jared’s key to the place didn’t work and she was sound asleep. To make a long story short, it took us about an hour of knocking and calling to get her to open the door and we didn’t get into bed until really late (we arrived past midnight….so we didn’t sleep until at least 1:30am!).

We got up the next morning (maybe afternoon-ish) and got ready to leave to walk along the boardwalk. For some reason, I thought this “walk” along the boardwalk would be short…..so I didn’t end up putting on sunblock – GOD that was a mistake. We spent more than 12 hours in the blazing sun! We ate Mack’s Pizza TWICE. My opinion on Mack’s: FANTASTIC birch beer – it was heavenly and the pizza? It was alright, always fresh and right outta the oven. Anyways, we did the water park/amusement park combo at Morey’s Piers. We did the water stuff earlier in the day and the dry stuff at night. The piers weren’t crowded at all and I never had to wait more than a minute or 2 for a ride. At the end of the night we had a huge thing of lemonade and tasty cheese fries to end the night.

The next day (July 4th), we went to breakfast at a place that Jared’s mom recommended…which was decent. I wouldn’t have recommended it to others though. I have yet to have a really good breakfast besides in Cali where there are a ton of places to go. Anyways we had breakfast and picked up a few things for Jared’s grandmother and headed to the beach. Parking near the beach was impossible. It took us at least half an hour before I saw some guy leaving. We were about to give-up and head back. We spent a few hours at the beach, ate Mack’s AGAIN and got back to Jared’s grandmother’s place around 4ish to shower and get ready for GAGA!!!!!!!!

We left around 5:30pm and thought, well we’ll have plenty of time to make it for the 8pm (maybe it was 7:45)….NOT. AC was PACKED – it took an hour to go 3 miles to get INTO AC and we heard that Diddy was throwing a party at the same time as the concert……greeeeeeeeeeeeeat! We couldn’t find a parking space to save our lives and all the valet was full too! We eventually parked in a hotel and RAN to the concert which was…..4-5 blocks away. We got there just in time! We had 10 mins to spare before Gaga started her show.

Let me say, I ♥ Gaga! She was AWESOME. Jon even enjoyed it! We all agreed that her show was awesome and she’s definitely a great entertainer! I cant wait to see her come September in Philly!

After wards, we stayed at the hotel and Jon lost $100 on craps, both Jared and I won $20 each in slots – not bad really. Jon is technically still “up” from all the other times at the Borgata. After we got back to the car – I just crashed. I hadn’t eaten since lunch, but I didn’t care. I was soooooooooooooooooo tired and luckily Jared was driving. I slept in the backseat while Jon and Jared took us a weird way home. They stopped at Wawa and we ended up getting home at almost 6am! Thank goodness the day after was a day off!

After over $700 later, I’ve got a happy pup that has pearly whites! I find that my vet is slightly pricey [but I mean, what vet isn't expensive?!], but they do such a thorough job. They gave me printouts, a ton of information and called me almost every hour telling me about how Truffles’ was doing. He was my brave little toaster. He came home a little groggy, but happy to be home with mommy and daddy.

You can check out his paperwork (Truffles Dental Paperwork), if you’re so inclined.

Currently, he’s a little better about brushing his teeth. I put him in the sink of my laundry room and that’s where all the doggie supplies are located. I use a rinse that was given to me by the vet and I put the doggie toothpaste on his teeth 2-3 times a week.

I thought maybe NM would have them, but after looking through their new Fall CL collection there was nothing that really caught by eye……except the nude Rolandos, but I’m still sticking it out for my Bianca’s. ♥

Yes, I was laid off again. How stupid really…

After I was laid off in February, it seemed like a long time before a really good opportunity came by. I did a lot of interviews and all ended up being great, but took forever to get back to me. Seems like everyone likes to procrastinate, not just me. I finally went into an interview with this 1 specific company and she said that I seemed like a perfect fit, but I’d need to come back later to meet her boss and then they could make a decision….

I did the 2nd interview and passed with flying colors, I even mentioned Prague and they said it’s completely fine! She called me the next day to offer me the job. I was so excited and so was everyone else. I started working promptly 2 weeks later and luckily this place was in Herndon, so it’s closer to me than Reston [which is where I used to work].

The first day was great and everything seemed to go off without a hitch. Then came the boring, nothing-to-do, days that came after which I only thought of as “oh I’m still getting used to the processes and software.” This was not the case because I was basically paid for a month doing absolutely nothing! I did no more than half a day’s of work the whole entire month I was there. I constantly asked my boss if she had anything for me to do and most of the time it was “oh yea, I’ll email you some stuff soon” – which in the end, became never.

I went to Prague at the end of April/beginning of May and came home sick. That Monday was a “work from home” day so I “worked” and had a meeting with my boss in the afternoon. Little did I know, minutes after my boss asked me how I was feeling, she introduced the HR person and told me that I’m being laid off. The only good thing is that they offered me 2 weeks notice and 2 weeks of severance.

I went into work the next day, packed up my stuff and met with my boss in a conference room. I told her that I hate the company and don’t care to ever come back after today [that day]. After that day, I gave myself a week to unwind, forget about the pathetic excuse for a company and focus on getting a new job.

I was able to get my current job and start right after my severance ran out. What a great month long vacation that was…

Every few days I get this idea to update my blog, but I find that I either, do not have a picture to go with it or I just don’t have time to post. I really need to get better at this.

Since my Prague trip:

I was laid-off again [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]. Trust me, I hate that company now. They did it when I was sick after my trip back. Luckily they gave me 2 weeks severance even though I had only been working there for a month. I deserved it.

My sister turned 16!!!! I remember her being a baby like it was just yesterday….

I found a job [that paid even more than the place that just laid me off, which is...$10k more than what I was making in February!!] before I needed to claim unemployment! [A HUGE Thank You to my references!]

I usually reward myself when I get a new job, but instead I used that non-existent money to have Truffles’ teeth deep-cleaned. His breath was god-awful before, but now there’s no smell at all! I plan on doing a blog post about the transformation.

My parents MOVED. Yes, MOVED. They’ve been living at the condo for what, 15+ years now? They finally jumped on a great deal on a townhouse in Chantilly. They’ve updated a few things, such as the kitchen [I love their granite], changed the carpet, changed a few fixtures and added recessed lighting.

I finally went to the Jersey shore [specifically, Wildwood] and had the famous, Mack’s pizza. I rode the rides and got sunburned….

I watched Lady GaGa in concert in Atlantic City, NJ! She was awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee! ♥

I may have found beloved Christian Louboutin Bianca in Nude!!!! More details on that later…

I think that’s about it in terms of excitement. I’ll try to get posts up on some of the more eventful things in the list later. :]

So Jon built us a riser for our home theater.

My basement is such a man-cave really there’s no womanly touches anywhere besides maybe my quilts that I sometimes use…

Anyways, this past Monday we got our riser carpeted in a darker shade to match our walls which are dark gray. Unfortunately, the maker that made my gray carpet in my basement doesn’t make that shade anymore so I had to choose something different to tie it all in.

I must say, I’m extremely proud of Jon for building this riser himself [with some help from Jared and I]. Jon constantly said that he was ready to build it but I didn’t let him start until he actually had a plan, measurements, directions and materials list. When he did get his stuff together, we were able to get most of it all done over the weekend. We insulated the underside with rolled insulation so it dampens the sound when walking on it.

Below is a picture of truffles inspecting the vacuumed riser. Previously he would not get near it b/c obviously it wasn’t soft enough for his delicate paws. Oh tis a tough life he lives. ♥

Now onto my closet project!

Sandra Bullock was looking fantastic last night wearing an Oday Shakar dress but what I couldn’t stop looking at were her shoes!!

I’ve recently caught the Christian Louboutin bug and I’m dying for a pair of nude shoes. From the look of it – it’s suede for sure and it looked nude on TV, but in fact it has more of a gray-ish tone to it. They look like Bianca’s from the front, but the heel in the back is thicker in width.

After copious amounts of searching and asking on tPF, I’ve found the answer!!! She was wearing Christian Louboutin Bibi’s. They are to die for and I love the color/height combination. According to the lookbook, the Bibi comes in 4 different colors; the one Sandra is wearing [gray-ish], a black color, a light blue-ish color and a brown/burnt color.

I’m definitely putting the Bibi on my wishlist, but first…..my Nude Bianca’s. I ♥ those the most.

I’m so sad to see it go. What will I do to fill my time from 9-10pm on Tuesday nights?

The finale last night was great. I had Miss Christine and her lovely boyfriend, Leo over for dinner. Jon cooked a delicious grilled chicken with lemon/basil sauce and topped it off with goat cheese. Along with the chicken we had 2 sides, stir-fry spinach w/ minced garlic and rice wine and potatoes with rosemary. Jared, the roomie, made baked scallops which was tasty. Everything was delish. Prior to dinner I made a fruit salad with papaya, pineapple, gala apples, mango, grapes, pears and kiwi. We tried to keep it island-themed for the show. We had the recap on while we ate dinner. After cleaning up and with 15 minutes to spare, Jon started up the popcorn and we all settled into our seats downstairs in the home theater. The 2 and ½ hours were intense at times but everyone enjoyed the ending.

I will miss you, LOST. ♥
